The testimony of the mummy

On the second day in the evening the same words can be heard in her heart:“Ask, ask….!“ The mummy gets over the shyness and she considers herself to be a fool when she whispers in the darkness „My Lord, if you exist and if you like me let me experience it.“ The testimony of the mummy

 

„Mummy, we´ve come to know God, we´ve come to know His Son Jesus.He forgives all our sins and we aren´t scared of death anymore because we are certain to spend our eternity with Him.“ We say these sentences to our mum when we often come to see her.

She is afraid that we´ve become members of some sect and she is seized by panic.However, except for our rash attempts to make her surrender her life over to God she can see something else.Love and good relationships among the siblings, change of our lives.During George´s wedding she listens carefully to the preacher that talks about the principles of happy marriage and feels that this is the truth nobody has ever pointed out to.She thinks: “Is it possible that the Bible contains such practical and modern advice?“During one visit I tell her:“Mummy, God loves you.If you don´t believe us so you may ask him about it“.

In the evening mum lies in the bed and ponders over it.She could ask God if he really exists – but she is ashamed of herself.And she´s never read the Bible either.She prefers to browse through it first and then she´ll see.She falls asleep although she hears a quite challenge in her heart:“Ask, ask.“

On the third day I come to see my parents again.My mum sits on the chair in the kitchen and her eyes are full of astonishment.She tries to describe to me what happened at night.She expressed her supplication and all of a sudden she had a feeling as if her body had stopped existing.She encountered God and universal love – it was so fantastic that she was afraid of not standing it anymome.
 
 
 
Thirteen years have passed since that day.My mum´s surrendered her life to Jesus Christ and become the encouragement and help not only to her sisters from the congregation but also to the atheist friends that she started to visit.Futhermore, she helps them and shows them her life with God.
