This is what I´m writing several years after my return from Medjugoria.It happened at the end of September 1996 when I went on this pilgrimage.Just before my departure I suffered from certain health troubles that made me see a doctor.Well, I thought we were expecting a child.At that time we had two small children at the age of four and three.I had an expert checkup ( even an ultrasound examination apart from other things ) in the effort to prevent futher health complications and also because I intended to go abroad.The physician assured me that I wasn´t pregnant, my problems were connected with the fluctuation of the hormone levels and I´d been given some medicines I started being on.

The journey to Medjugoria ran smoothly and the pilgrimage was a real and deep spiritual experience for me.Only more frequent and stronger nausea complicated it even further.But I wanted to bring at least a little present in the form of this insignificant sacrifice and patient endurance of my problems.I´ve taken my pills a couple of times but the troubles haven´t eased. So I was trying hard to present my difficulty to God and Virgin Mary.Once after my return from church I could hear a voice within that told me to stop taking these pills and to throw all of them away.There was a contradiction within me but what I´d heard was so loud and strong that I did it, consequently my medicines finished up in the litterbin.

Before my homecoming I had a big craving inside the chapel to thank God for the time spent in Medjugoria, for my husband, children and for all that I was given by God and for what I was entrusted in this world.And I received the grace of knowledge that these changes and difficulties, which I´d experienced, were in relation to the beginning of the new child´s life which I was with.On that day I put my unborn baby to the Virgin Mary´s protection and I sacrificed him to her Immaculate heart.I was feeling lousiest during my return journey.I thought I wouldn´t survive it.

Immediately after my homecoming I went to see my gynaecologist.My pregnancy was confirmed after the repeated checkup. According to the ultrasound examination my child was about 12 weeks old.Because of the possible child´s health risk and as a consequence of taking the medicines ( these ones, which I was taking, can cause developmental defect and multiple damage to the foetus at the beginning of the pregnancy ) I found myself in the specialized section of Olomouc hospital.I was advised various „solutions“.I didn´t give up my child and I turned down some medical checkups because I thought that their result wouldn´t change anything in my decision to hold on to my child.I lived through this time in peace and confidence.I have Virgin Mary and her powerful intercession to thank for it.

In april 1997 our son Peter was born.His baptism name´s Peter Maria so that he will always know Virgin Mary´s his protector.It´s thanks to her intercession that our son´s well.With greatfulness to God
