Ježíš

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
Isaiah 54,10

The long silence

At the end of times millions of people gathered in the large plains before God´s throne. The majority pulled back from the bright light before them but in front there were groups in which lively debate took place. This debate wasn´t held with shyness but with combative determination.

„How can God judge us? What does he know about suffering?“barked out a dark haired woman. Her body showed the signs of torture.“I´ve experienced terror…beating….rape…death!“ In another group a young African unbottened his shirt:“And what about this?“ he showed the holes from the bullets.“They killed me only because I belonged to another tribe!“ In another group a man with bleary eyes mumbled:“I´ve got AIDS.Why just me? Why is it just me who shall suffer?

In the plains there were hundreds of these groups. And their exasperation grew stronger. Why did God allow the evil and the suffering? While he himself was spending his eternity in heaven where everything is bright and nice, where there are no cry, fear, hunger nor envy? What can this judge know about all this suffering on earth?

And so each group sent its leader – someone who suffered the most – to discuss this issue. They gathered in the centre of the plains:a victim of bomb attack, a woman maimed by arthritis, a man with innate brain damage, a murdered woman, an abused child….Finally, they were able to present their defence. It was quite intelligent. Before God is appointed as their judge he has to experience what they went through. They decided that God should be sentenced to the life on this earth – like a human being.

Let him be born in poverty and misery at best like Jew.Let him be considered as a bastard.Let him live in the country occupied by the foreign cruel army.Let him be persecuted and has to hide.Let him give a task, which´ll be so difficult, that even his own family will take him for a fool when he´ll try to carry it out.Let him be betrayed even by his nearest friends.Let him be falsely accused and judged by the prejudiced tribunal without possibility of appeal.Let him know what it´s like to be totally alone.Let him become the laughing stock of everyone. And finally let him suffer from all possible pains. Then do him away.Yeah, let God experience personally what the death is like

Ardent shouts of agreement of all the presents sounded among individual requests. When they finished the last sentence everyone was silent.Suddenly nobody said even a word.Nobody even moved. There was a long silence.
